Abandoned baby found 13 May 1965, Blackfriars, London
An acquaintance of mine found a baby girl in a rubbish chute in an old tenament block on Blackfriars Road, London on 13 May 1965. The child was approximately 1 day old and was taken to Diplock Ward, Guys Hospital and later adopted. He would very much like to know what happened to the baby girl, who was named Jane by hospital staff, but has no idea how to go about getting this information. He is now in his 90s and has been curious about the fate of the baby he found over 40 years ago. Can anyone help?

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Thank you both for your responses. I have looked at those sites and similar, but the gentleman I know is neither parent nor adopted child. He is merely an interested party and there doesn't appear to be any specific area for this sort of enquiry. I was hoping that maybe someone familiar with the case would provide him with an update, even if they were unable to divulge specific information about the child or adoptive family.

You have the dates, I would search the archive Newspapers, probably the London Evening Standard.

i think it would be worth contacting as its not just for relative its for adult who were adopted to find out more on the cercumstances of where they were found etc
worth an email just incase the child in question as registered with them
