:shock: I had seen this on tv too!
Annie the people were taken to the cash machines to get money out too!
I cant believe they could do it.

i would of refused and they could of put me in a hotel as they all would of been insured against the flight

I'm not sure there was insurance on this particular flight, I recall an article about it on the radio where they were explaining that the company who organised the flights weren't covered by the requisite regulations. It was a matter of pay up or get stranded on the airside of customs with no permission to enter the country and therefore no ability to rebook with another operator.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.
