I can't eat rabbit and I'm not sure why. I don't think I'm squeamish, I can eat and enjoy Venison and Veal. We have a lovely old riverside pub that does a homemade rabbit pie. Smells wonderful, so I'd decided to try it but there is something about the meat, it just seems to turn cardboard in my mouth.

Bunnie gets very dry when it's overcooked, it's the lack of fat which is why it's so healthy. Traditional stewing (even for pies) was for larger, older animals that had been trapped or shot in the wild. Jamie does a rather good recipe for rabbit and lemon that does little more than stir fry the meat, more like one would treat a chicken fillet.

Haven't eaten rabbit for years, but I did like it last time I had it.
I feel there isn't a lot of difference eating one animal over another - as long as it wasn't my pet!
