ARC TBC..............connecting Kettles to Follis and Hadley

Post by expat66 »

Wondered if I could run some connections past you guys?

This Albert KETTLE...
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... tle-Family

had another son....( this is all from family knowledge)... Alfred Stanley KETTLE born 9 May 1915
In 1947 he married Irene FOLLIS.... Oldbury, Worcs.
He died in 1989 and had 2 children ... Alan and Christine

I have been looking into who Irene FOLLIS was ...
I found a possible birth for an Irene FOLLIS in 1915 West Bromwich ... mother's name HADLEY

and possible parents Walter FOLLIS(1893-1955) and Harriet Fanny HADLEY (1894-1951)
... there are a few trees on 'Ancestry' who have these people ( with some pretty nice photos too!)
possible marriage....for Walter and Harriet...21 Nov 1914

These trees have Harriet's parents as Ephraim HADLEY (1860-1946) and Mary SIVITER (1871-1958)
I wondered if this might be Ephraim?

Don't know whether this Mary Siviter is on BCC?.... there seem to be several of those!

Off to get my dinner....

My cousins.

No, that Mary Siviter is not yet on BCC.

Ephraim is

I will fill inthe families and then tackle your Kettle and Folis connection.

Feel free to use any of the pictures and certificates on my tree on Ancestry (Dodd-Cook).

Ephraim and Arthur are actually registered as Taylor though there is no doubt William is their father.

Arthur married Sarah Moretone Taylor who I believe is his 1st cousin....

Samuel and Fanny were married on the 22 December 1889.

Samuel is a joiner, they live in Birmingham Street, Samuels father, Mark, deceased, was a miner, and Fanny's father George Pinchin, deceased, was a labourer. The witnesses are Joseph Waterhouse and Ann Ford
