Siviter Family mystery--Mumbles sorting

Post by mumbles »

My Aunt Susan Brookes born 1914 married a William Siviter in Autumn 1942 and he died in North Africa in January 1943 .

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =538550466

CWGC record shows that he was born Birmingham and parents were Edward Siviter and Esther Siviter.
and wife Susan of Blackheath Birmingham

Is there any chance that CWGC record is wrong and he was a) born in Blackheath as well and his parents were John Thomas Siviter and Esther Hodgetts
who lived corner from Susan Brookes in 1911
Also there is a William Siviter born 1912 mother Hodgetts and an Thomas Siviter marrying an Esther Hodgetts in 1892 Cradley Heath

I cannot find an Edward Siviter married to an Esther either in Birmingham or Rowley Regis

I was born in Birmingham even though my parents were living in West Brom.

Place of birth should be near where the parents were living. Blackheath is close enough for him to be born in the nearest major maternity hospital, Birmingham.

As for the parents names on CWGC.....that information is provided by the family so I doubt they got it wrong.

But your evidence is pretty convincing....

Marraige certificate required methinks...

That is the Enumerator's assumption.

Registration District is Stourbridge. Sub District is Halesowen. Parish is Cakemore and County is Worcestershire.

Poor Law district is Dudley.

Enumerator should have written Blackheath near Birmingham.

Mumbles if you have a look at the Elsie siviter thread I think that is your Thomas Siviter and Esther Hodgetts

where did you get the name John Thomas from?

he is Thomas on 1911 with Esther
