Mellie PUGH 1910....COMPLETED.

Post by sparkstopper »

Can anyone find a BIRTH,( with parents noted )for:
transcribed on 1911 as MELLIE PUGH b.abt.1910 Dudley.
probably out of wedlock? Her mother was ELIZABETH PUGH
and she married JAMES WESTON soon after the birth?
On BMD there is a record for both an AMELIA & NELLIE.
I would like to get the correct christian name. Thanks.

Actually born Cradley Heath according to census....

Seemed to use Mellie as there is this marraige in Dudley

Name: Mellie Weston & Matthew S Bennett
Spouse Surname: Bennett
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1934
Registration district: Dudley
Inferred County: Staffordshire
Volume Number: 6b
Page Number: 2541

Since she is supposed to be at least 1 year of age in the 1911 census I would say that Amelia is more a match as it is Dudley and 1910.

Nellie is Stoke On Trent and 1911.

Mellie is actually a variation of Millicent, Melanie or Melissa.
