Thomas William Dillon 1839-1883

Post by Marie n Bill »

Struggling to find the earlier life of Thomas William Dillon
Working backwards he died March 1883 aged 42
His second wife Margaret Amelia Dillon (formerly Simmonds and nee Bridgwater) died Mar 1884 also aged 42

On the 1881 census at 33 Price St, St Marys, Birmingham;

Thomas Dillon - head - 40 - carpenter- Shrewsbury
Amelia Dillon - wife - 40
Amelia Dillon - dau.- 6
Thomas Dillon - son - 9
Ada Dillon - dau.- 4
Frederick Dillon - son - 2

On the 1871 census at Upper Hospital St, St George, Birmingham
lodger at the household of Geo Plowman - 37 - publican

Thomas Dillon - lodger - wid - 31- Shrewsbury
Mary Ann Dillon - 11 - Birmingham

His second marriage was on 27 Nov 1871 at St Johns Church, Perry Barr (now Birmingham, then reg Dist West Bromwich)
Thomas William Dillon - 32 - wid - joiner - ????? st, Birchfield - father William Dillon
Margaret Amelia Simmonds - 32 - wid - father Benjamin Bridgwater

Cannot find him on 1861, 1851 or 1841 (if he was born) censuses
Neither can I find his birth registration, if he was born after 1837, which his ages on census & marriage census suggests he was, or his first marriage (possibly to Ann ???)
