ARC TBC................Issac Brown
I am looking for a marriage for Issac to Elizabeth around 1820 in Dudley, from the 1841 census she is older than him, unfortunately I don't know her maiden name.

Re: Issac Brown
There's this one Nessa in 1834:-
Issac Brown
Marriages:
Spouse: ELIZABETH WILLIAMS
13 MAY 1833 Sedgley, Stafford, England
Also one at St Martins B'ham Bull Ring to an Elizabeth Evans in 1834.
Why do you think they Married about 1820
You could request a look up for the Sedgley one. I would search the 1841 Census see if there are any Williams or Evans families near by. HTH from Linell.

Re: Issac Brown
Hi Linell,
I assume that Issac was married around 1820 only because his son Samuel was born about 1820 and from the 1841 census he was born 1800/5 all very loose dates. I can't find anymore children apart from daughter Eliza born roughly 5 years after Samuel.
I will look into the information you have found.
Thank you
Vanessa

Re: Issac Brown
Is this them.
1841. Halesowen Rd, Dudley. Worcs,
Isaac Brown 40. Coal miner. n.b.i.c.
Elizabeth Brown 55. n.b.i.c.
Samuel Brown 20.
Eliza Brown 15.
Don't take to much notice on ages in 1841 census they were often rounded up or down to the nearest 5 years. so Samuel could have been born between 1816 and 1824. Also there is no way of telling relation ships in 1841.
