We had a dodgy one and it didnt work and sent it straight back and they replaced it on the spot

Annie.....Take it straight back and demand a new one ! what make is it ? the one I use is a HP 550 basic 1.0 Mb. I have Mac upstairs but not used much now, but I prefer Applemac. but still this is quite suitable for every day use on the Net.

Oh I have kicked up a fuss , they are coming out to it on Monday so they said and they will have me ranting at them if they don't, it's a Toshiba and it runs Vista when it goes.

Got my daughters laptop again today while they are out .

That's good Annie....keep at them, Toshiba are a good Laptop I am on Vista it's fine! tell them you have lost some stuff they might compensate you ?

I have lost some stuff mike because it just went off on it's own so did not get chance to back up.

I think Ruth will want this back tomorrow .

Annie......I never back up! I think if it crashes you can still lose It? not sure as I say I am new to Windows.

Hi Mike I do back back up very often, the back ups I made on the old laptop have had to be restored before they would work with Vista and they are all fine now, thank goodness would have takeb=n me ages to enter all my family back on the FTM.

Please forgive me Northern Lass I have turned your washing machine post into a lap.

Well Annie I think you may be right on this laptop I haven't done anything but on my Mac I put everything on Floppy discs....but this useful item is no longer used.
