I am still searching for information regarding Thomas Henry Knight, the nephew. Who in 1901 census was living with his uncle, Thomas Henry Knight and aunt Annie and two cousins Arthur Thomas and Frank Leslie Knight at 114 Enville Street, Stourbridge. I had found a burial record for Thomas Henry Knight (uncle) who died in 1911, and also buried in the same plot was a Caroline Knight died 1900 age 62 and an Eliza Talbot died 1920 age 72. I believe Caroline may have been Thomas Henry's mother (yet to be proved) and Eliza Talbot, was his mother in law, previously a Terry.

In the 1911 census for 114 Enville Street, Stourbridge

Mrs Louisa Knight Head 41 Mistress of Baking Department
Arthur Thomas Knight Eldest Son 17 Grammer School Scholar
Frank Leslie Knight Youngest Son 13 Deliver for mother
Mrs Eliza Talbot Mother Widow 64 Cook Domestic

Thomas Henry Knight was buried on 5 January 1911 age 46, I did visit the Stourbridge Cemetery today, with details of were the grave is and with the help of staff their managed to locate the plot. Unfortunately there is no longer a head stone, and therefore unable to confirm if Caroline Knight was his mother.

You might have to get some birth certifs

Births Dec 1897
Knight Thomas Henry Dudley 6c 112

and have a look at that marriage

Marriages Dec 1892
Knight Thomas Henry Aston 6d 662
Mee Laura Alice Aston 6d 662
Palmer Alice Aston 6d 662
SMITH William Aston 6d 662
Terry Louisa Aston 6d 662

if that is him with Grandparents

that Parkes and Knight one is worth looking at
1896
Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference
KNIGHT William PARKES Kate M Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/041/184

see how William Knight links to Thomas Henry Knight snr

Am just sorting out what birth certificates and marriage certificates to send for, I know that the Dec 1892 Marriage for:

Knight Thomas Henry Aston 6d 662
Terry Louisa Aston 6d 662

is correct as I have Arthur Thomas Knight's birth certificate and these are his parents.

I had ruled out the match with Parkes and Knight, as I had found a 1901 census record for them, which did not have a Thomas Henry as a son, but wasn't sure if he could appear in more than one census record for that year, as have found a record for a Thomas Henry aged 3 living with Grandparents, the Parkes and also living as nephew with Knights also aged 3.

I am sending for a number of certicates to try and find an answer to this, including a birth certificate for Thomas Henry Knight (Snr) in Lewes, Sussex, as the 1901 Census states he was born in Newhaven, Lewes, Sussex. This will hopefully identify his parents and enable me to discover whether he had any siblings who could be the parents of Thomas Henry.

Just thinking...

If that is the father of our Thomas Henry Knight b abt 1897
then brother to Thomas Henry Knight could be a William Knight
mother Caroling

have we got these on earlier census

or a marriage for a Knight and Caroling

or did we do that....

I have been looking at census information for a Thomas Henry and William Knight as brothers, but so far have not found anything. I have found a marriage record for the following:

KNIGHT Henry Frederick GLADMAN Caroline Dec 1861 Lewes 2b 286

And I know from the 1901 census information Thomas Henry Knights place of birth is recorded as Newhaven, Sussex which I know is in the registration district Lewes.

But I have not found census information for this couple yet, am looking both in Stourbridge area and Sussex.

Very time consuming as so many Knights

started to add this to BCC as it will be easier to follow it on there

I think that is the correct marriage you have Kerry for Henry Frederick Knight and Caroline Gladman in Lewes

Thomas Henry Knight is born in lewes in 1864
added to bcc

and look at that census above
I think that is your brother of Thomas Henry Knight
with Kate Hackett (marriage I am looking up)
and they call son Frederick
