Can I just emphasize again that when adding to BCC we MUST look at the actual image and see what was actually
written on the census NOT just the transcriptions from ancestry or find my past
as they can be so often mistranscribed!

When adding Kay to BCC any tell tale format that is copied on here is altered in the notes
so info is not just lifted from a source
that is why it is important to actually view the actual census and copy down what it says then add that to the notes

are the scottish ones different can you not view them on Ancestry?

Just as I crossed all census off my screen! I'll check over again, I did just put the 1841 just now.
You cant see images on Ancestry, just transcriptions. Scotlands People is the only place to see the images unless of course you have got a CD or film.

1842 Abraham Yates to Ann Rolinson West Bromwich, All Saints 22/2/187....

I thought she was my GG grandfather's sister but her death cert gives other parents, namely Samuel Rolinson and Elizabeth Roberts.
I think this is probably correct as I found a record on LDS (albeit with the wrong death date for Ann)

So maybe they are cousins.

GG grandfather John Rolinson married Jane Holmes at Rushall in 1839, on 26th August.
Another researcher has Abraham Yates and Ann Rolinson as witnesses to this marriage but I have been unable to verify this.
John's death certificate states his parents as John Rolinson and Elizabeth Smith.
John does have a sister Ann b1823.
I have them on 1841 census HO107/985/8/35 p28 in Wolverhampton as RAWLINSON and John and Jane, as ROBINSON, in Walsall HO107/983/12/18 p28

How then to establish that John and Samuel Rolinson are brothers born probably in the 1790s?
Any help greatly appreciated!
