I have cousins who were on the front line of the miner's strike and their hate for Thatcher is unbelievable.
I would never try and convince them that Thatcher was good for the country.
The stuff they have been posting on Facebook and sending by e-mail is scary.
That first line sums it up a great leader or stateperson unite a country, not divides it, there were more riots and civil disorder in her premiership than at any other time

dont mine them getting rid of it as long as its replaced by a upto date version of the magna carta and the declaration of rights it not the human right acts thats causing use grief more the interpretation of it by the european court on human rights so get rid of both and rewrite a bill of right
if they get rid of the minimum wage they wont get in next time and it will be reinstated more likely they will reduce the limit

"That first line sums it up a great leader or stateperson unite a country, not divides it, there were more riots and civil disorder in her premiership than at any other time"
A great leader does what is best for the MAJORITY of citizens.
A great leader makes decisions based on what is best for the country, not their chance of re-election.
The riots and anti Thatcher movement could have been curtailed if she was soft and only interested in staying at 10 Downing Street.
She would have still been there when the UK did a Greece decades before Greece!

The tory never got 50% of the vote so she never had a majority of people and a great leader doesnt rip your industrial heartlands apart
I
But i dont think majority agree mark as only 1 in 3 thinks we should be having this public funeral
