The John Taylor on BCC looks very possible. The Taylor and Hollies/Hollis families are living in the same area of Windmill End and Darby End in 1841 and 51 and the names of Hannah, Sarah and John are common.

The Taylor family of Netherton are listed as Copy Holders of some Land given by Lord Dudley in his Will 1847.

Interesting. I wonder which Taylor family that is. My mother's direct line came from Belper as strike breakers in the early 1860s, but there's at least two more Taylor lines in my mothers family, all from around Netherton. Where can I see that will Linell?

I found the details in a book on Netherton. The will was the Rt Hon John Williams Earl of Dudley. Would be at Dudley Archives or maybe on line on the National Archives (Wills) Web Site, which can be downloaded. HTH Linell.
