Am I looking at it wrong -
Martha Smart married John Northall - so in 1851 if Susannah is living with them she would be Susannah Smart

Martha Northall that marries John Fellows is a spinster
so the Mary Smart diff family..........or is it..
Cos interestingly John Smout father is a miller just like John Smart
So unless for some reason Martha married John Northall as a Mary Smart.....puts father John Smart Miller.........for reasons unk
he dies or runs off
and she marries as a spinster to John Fellows
on "1st" marriage to John Northall what does her occup say?

we could do with father for Marthas kids
any bapts
or birth regis for them
might have to send for one
if father is John Northall then we connect up
or we connect with a note
I think she married John Northall as Mary for some reason
then left him
or he died
and she marries as a spinster and Martha
can someone post the births pls

Just to complicate matters even further - two trees on Ancestry have John Smout - Stephen's father, marrying Susannah Northall in 1810 - Madeley in Shropshire

Didn't i say it was complicated? Thanks anyway for all the info which i already had but couldn't fathom it out.
There was also a John Northall in prison sometime around 1850.

Just got the marriage for Stephen Smout who married Sarah Carr - parents of Margaret Smout
His father is also a millman, but he is Charles.
