Elizabeth is not a ferrer. I do have a birth and marriage certificates for william hairyes josephs brother who is my descendent,it says is father was william hairyes and was an agriujral labourer.and i also know he was born in 1817.and was in elloghton east yorkshire in 1841 cenus.the name is spelt hairs .howvere the missing link is what happened before 1817.which you cant find out off his sons birth certificate, i appreciate your help. but that has to be somebody in there who can trace the family before 1817.im really sorry to be using everyones time here but i dont know what to do.

The one place you are likely to find is,
England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975.
https://www.familysearch.org/search/col ... on/1473014But there is no real way to say it will be the right one.

your birth cert for william is no good as you need some one who was born after sept 1837 when registation gave both parents name, hence you will find out william and joseph mother maiden name, then this will lead to a poss marriage, and with the marriage info of william and elizabeth this might lead you to sibling if there the witnesses,
so dont rule out using sibling to find elizabeths maiden name, widen you scope of thought rather than think the 1841 is going to give you the answers you need

The 1841 census is not always very good to go by, do you have later census's for William 1817, and Elizabeth 1813.
