Free BMD has:
Jun 1874 (>99%)
Shorter Amy Margaret Edmonton 3a 177
So it looks like the 1881 census on FMP is inaccurate but I don't know if it's transcription error or not.
I can't find a suitable death on FreeBMD and there are a handful of marriages for Amy Shorter but none for Amy M or Amy Margaret but none in Suffolk.
FMP has a couple of possibilities in their death index:
SHORTER Amy M Surrey North Western Surrey 1949
SHORTER Amy M Bromley Kent 1962
But I only have access to the index not to the items themselves.

Thanks for the full census. That means more delving but some of the family names seem familiar, I suspect their may be a Southgate connection, possibly Joanna was an aunt.
And that's an interesting little titbit with the probate. Victoria is probably the mother (I have her death as 1928) and it rules out marriage for the two girls before 1928.
I must go, I'm in the doghouse; I'm supposed to be working on the new wetroom.
