Cheers for the Burials Jimmy, so Elizabeth was born about 1850, the one I have daughter of Edward and Mary Taylor was born 1841, so it can't be the same Elizabeth. Not sure about John, I have him born about 1846, he would have been 80 I think in 1926? Will have to scour the Census for any clues, many thanks from linell.

1861: New Street,Hasbury

Edward Sharratt 38 H M ? Carter H/Owen
Mary Sharratt 38 W M Naileer H/Owen
Elizabeth Sharratt 9 Dau Hasbury
Benjamin Taylor 60 Wid Lodger H/Owen (father in law? according to Linnel)mallosa

Oops sorry, looks like I entered Elizabeth's age down wrong, according to this she was born 1851, which fits with the burial of Elizabeth and John Moore. Cheers everyone from linell.

According to the IGI John Sherratt who Married Louisa Hobbis was born 1838, making him the son of Thomas Sherratt, Edward's brother. So to clarify we have a Marriage for Elizabeth Sherratt to John Moore, but no Marriage for her brother John. linell.

Not sure about two Marriages Peter will look into it. I have put the Sherratt info on BCC plus the Moore family, they also run into a few other Hasbury families. I have some more links to add tomorrow. Best Wishes from linell.

Hi Peter, yes it certainly looks like Edward Sherratt Married Twice. Wife Mary Taylor died 1863 Halesowen. Edward Married Maria Ann Bond from Pedmore 1863 Stourbridge Reg District. Edward died 1884. Maria is a Widow in 1891 and 1901.

1871 New Street Halesowen
Edward Sherratt 43 (his age it out, perhaps he was trying to impress!) Publican Halesowen
Maria 44 Pedmore Stourbridge.
