Thanks again Mathsgirl,
yes I wondered that too and went to familysearch.org for France and had no luck
I went back to 1830 +-10yrs with using James and Josephines' daughters names and Dorote as a surname in France to see if I can find a marriage of Josephines' parents but no luck either (familysearch).
I am unable to find Houldsworth as a marriage in France, again using familysearch.
I have a suspicion that the 'S' in Jeremy(spelling?)/Francis' name in 1881/91 Westgate Newcastle upon Tyne Northumberland census might be Samuel.
In which case Samuel could be Joseph Charles Houldsworth or Josephine Julia Dorote ---u/k surname--- fathers' name.
Just guessing though and not an educated guess at that. Samuel has to come from somewhere within the families- possibly William Grahams scots' side which I do not think as I have gone back to 1758. I would doubt it came from a brother in law or uncle of Williams'.
This is really hooping me.
1891 St Annes Home, Streatham Hill S W for this census on Joseph Charles Houldsworth, I don't know. Always could be a typo as earlier he is supposed to have been born in 1812 and is supposed to have been born in Sheffield, Yorkshire according to the previous census. I have no idea as yet when he died from GRO and free bmd as there are a few Joseph Houldsworths that died after 1881 and into the new century, but nothing that sugests a 'Charles' as a middle name or vise versa.
It seems the address is in Wandsworth from my research ( I came across Jeff Knaggs - The Home Page [FYI this seems to be a good thing to keep).
I am always indebted to anyone who understands and knows these things in England and Scotland as I am in Canada and we are unfamiliar with many things that are common in other countries.
If I can keep on receiving help I would appreciate this.

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?
