Slagging?

I complemented New Zealand on their Rugby by hinting nobody beats them.

I stated a fact about the size of countries not making the slightest difference about their sporting ability which was the topic being discussed.

How the hell is that being insulting?

Try reading my posts yourself.

Stop accusing me of things I have not done.

I did not have a go at a single country, simply stated facts to do with the topic of population size.

Stop this rubbish about the Aussies about being arrogant.

We approach things with an "I can do" attitude so live with it.

It is called "confidence", not arrogance.

We call it Soccer, the same as the Americans do, because, like the Americans, we have other codes called football.

In Australia we have Rugby Union, Rugby League and Australian Rules as well as Soccer.

Why would we call the "round ball" game football? Why would it have any more claim to that title in Australia than the other three codes?

Did you know the oldest surviving club of any code of football in the world is an Australian Rules team. So that game has far more claim to the name "football" than soccer does in Australia.

The name Socca or Soccer originated in England in 1889 to differentiate it from the Rugby. It was easier than calling it "Association Football".

So continue to have a go for us using a word that originates from England being used in the context for which it was invented.
