You lose this one Rob! It is perfectly safe to cook food that has been frozen and then refreeze it. In fact the USDA says you can refreeze frozen food without cooking it if you defrost it in the recommended way - don't fancy that myself. http://www.fsis.usda.gov/factsheets/foc ... /index.asp
"Refreezing
Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through defrosting. After cooking raw foods which were previously frozen, it is safe to freeze the cooked foods. If previously cooked foods are thawed in the refrigerator, you may refreeze the unused portion.
If you purchase previously frozen meat, poultry or fish at a retail store, you can refreeze if it has been handled properly."

I dunno. I still have misgivings about this!! Ther's something gnawing at my mind telling me this is not right!! Freezing and re-freezing. Cooking food and freezing it again!!
Doesn't feel kosher!!

well try making cassorole for one or stew etc you got to freeze it or you would be eating it for three days
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
