I hope your daughter didnt have to wait too long in the cold and is well and truely cosy in her room!
Doesnt seem promising my husband getting home tomorrow :( Chopper has been once to the rig today but then no trains from Aberdeen ? Teesside Airport was shut most of the day so a flight might not be an option.
So if he gets off he may be stuck there. Not the best of things as hes just done 2 weeks of nights, doubt trawlling round Aberdeen looking for a room will be much fun with no sleep!
My first job instead of looking here will be Bristows see if the choppers are going and then the trains!
My son has to get back from Newcastle tomorrow too, then Thursday evening get back to Coventry, via Birmingham so hope things on that line are ok then!

Thank you again for the thoughts - My daughter and her friend decided to walk in the end - the long way round to avoid the steep hill with heavy bags - arrived back very tired but safe

I hope your family all make their journeys safely.

My daughter was stuck on the M27 ten minutes from home for 6 hours last night along with hundreds of others, the irony was that the island where they were stuck was next to the yard where they store the salt and grit they had to wait for the gritters to go out and return to the depot 6 hours later, before the slip road they were on was gritted.
