Maybe you should get one of these? http://www.iseappliances.co.uk/index.php?id=1148290655
Please note I just found this on Google so it could be a load of rubbish
Some washers just don't last long and that even goes for brands like Siemens and Miele I think. Perhaps Zanussi is better or perhaps the ones made ten years ago were better.
I know front loaders have shorter lives than toploaders, because of the physics involved.
The repair men still seem to be blaming underwired bras as the number one problem

Re: How long is a washing machine supposed to last?
Hiya everybody, I've not been on the site in ages. I've been trying to find my hubby's ancestors and they are doing my head in!!!, so thought I'd get some relief from the banter that goes on on this site.
My washing machine, an Electrolux, is 21 years old this year!! The only thing that's ever gone wrong with it is about 5 years ago when I had to have a new rubber thingy around the door as it had perished. Don't think they make them anymore. Probably why it's lasted that long is the fact that I only wash clothes when they are standing up on their own
And no it's not a twin tub.
So, who's got the oldest washing machine then?

I love my washing machine-it must be the only thing I have touched in the last 12 months that hasn't broken!
