Seems like Sarah was from Manchester folks. I must have confused Sarah's a couple of years ago because I was sure then she was also in 1861 census with Thomas.
A few of my other contacts in the past also had Thomas dying in 1866 but I can't find them, only Sarah from Manchester with young Thomas and Hannah Adams born in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire. Thomas must have died before census in 1861.

What puzzles me then is was Sarah a Bate?
If not how on earth am I going to find her maiden name. Parish records I suppose for marriage to Thomas other than or including the only marriage I can find at Oldswinford in 1811
Why would they marry in Oldswinford?


I originally thought Sarah was born in Halesowen as below.

I had thought that Joseph had married Maria Baker in 1841 at St Thomas Dudley. This makes more sense!
