That is incorrect GEG.....that is William Rose who died then
I have his death certif.

Let me find source for Henry Archer...sorry frazzled today.

Henry Archer YOUNG and Ethel M CARTWRIGHT were married 17 Sep 1917 in West Bromwich, Stafford via the England and Wales Marriage index 1916-2005.

My mother is going to email me a picture of Henry Archer Young, Ethel Cartwright John R young, Philip and Margaret. She says she has a picture of Richard Young as well (Henry's father).

Yes this is him have that as well, can't find his wife Harriet Emma's surname....or their marriage certificate.

Now you really could do with viewing the actual certif marriage certif, for this couple

that way you verify fathers for both.

But seems like fathers are as we have on Bcc so up to you if you get that certif or not.

I was just after if you had it not the index/ref for John Richard Youngs birth..........but his actual birth certificate
with full info on............just to verify father as Henry Archer Young...................just for fullness.

So going with Henry Archer Young as father of John Richard Young
I have as you have seen added marriage for a look up ..............now this is only if some kind soul goes to Smethwick archives
and has time to kindly look it up for us.....otherwise GEG you would need to order the marriage certif from GRO or local registry office

has noone in the family got that marriage certif so we can check fathers names
esp for Ethel......think it is that one FS found but need to be sure

My mother says she died in 1978 in Halesowen, she is sure of this because she and my father stayed in her house in 1979.

So that looks like her but it is 1975....would need death certif to be sure GEG.

I really wish my mother would join this site, I gave her the link. She responded that "I think rocky may be right. I was thinking your father and I lived in England in 79, but it was June 1975, right after we got married." Also, I was born in 1979 (in Myrtle Beach, SC, US) and they lived in Myrtle Beach a couple years before that.

So, how do I go about getting an official death certificate?

not sure when that marriage one will be looked up so if you want to find out her father for sure would be an idea
to order that one too.....you know the one I put down for look up.............cos might never get looked up.

Dudley you can order online but check re overseas situation
not sure on Sandwell if you can order online you would need to contact them.

GrO might be best with you being overseas.
