Thing is, before DNA testing, we couldn't be sure what was in the products as there was no way of testing, so you had to trust the meat wholesalers to sell you what you thourght you were buying.
At the end of the day, it's not a health risk - but it a case where company's morals are put in to question. If the UK is anything like Denmark then the companies concerned will find there sales cut drastically.

So true about sales cut. I will not be buying ready made meals from any store !!. In fact I am a bit dubious about buying any meat products.

its not the horsemeat i worried about its what the horses have been injected with here in the uk thre are stick guide lines on what can go into the food chain and any waiting period after animals have been treated by a vet it all has to be recorded and most animals are taged especially beef
