HTH Steve and Pete:-
The Parish of Clent with Rowley Regis had been held in plurality since earliest times, with a Curate in charge of Rowley since 1693 and separate registers having been kept. The churches were five miles apart, in different counties, with other parish boundaries intervening. In the year 1776 the living passed to the Rev. Lyttleton Perry, who either expected his parishioners from Rowley to travel to Clent and refused to conduct services at the Rowley Church, or having carried out the services at Rowley, he then entered the events in the Clent registers. The registers themselves appear to bear this out. During the years of his Ministry (1776 - 1812) I did not see his name mentioned at Rowley. During the same period it is quite common to find as many as twenty marriages a year carried out by him and entered in the Clent registers. Also, in the hand written transcriptions at the Worcester Record Office they are entered en bloc for each year. The Rev. Lyttleton Perry died in 1812.

There was Isaac b1672 ('of Foxoak') who m unknown Mary, then think he married Ann Windsor after death of first wife.
Isaac b 1699 m Elizabeth Haden, had son Samuel, then Elizabeth d1730, and he remarries Mary Granger.
There was John Downing who m Elizabeth Bissell (he is the father of Isaac b1672, and also father of Josiah, who was the father of Isaac b1699),but there is only one burial (1730) for Elizabeth wife of Isaac.

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ing-FamilyI am sure this marriage is wrong, but dont want to alter anyone elses work without discussing it/ giving the reasons.
I believe this Isaac married, firstly Elizabeth Haden ('of Halesowen') 5 Aug 1723 - they had one son Samuel, who went on to marry and have children. Elizabeth was buried 9 June 1730 (Elizabeth wife of Isaac Downing bur).
Isaac then married Mary Granger 30 Dec 1731 - they had a number of children. Mary was buried 10 Jan 1762 - 'Mary Downing, wid, P. aged 58 years bur'.
I think the Isaac Downing who married Ann Windsor (17 Feb 1723) was a different Isaac bapt 20 Oct 1672, son of John & Elizabeth. He was buried 19 July 1727 - 'Isaac Downing of Foxoak'. He must have married an unknown Mary because we have bur 21 Oct 1722 'Mary w. of Isaac Downing (de ffoxoak). This Isaac and Mary do not appear to have had any children. I believe he must be the one who married Ann Windsor. There are no children recorded for Isaac & Ann.
None of these three marriages for an Isaac Downing gives any details as to marital status - the only one that has any other information is the Ann Windsor one which has (L) (??Licence) after it.
The Isaac who married Elizabeth Haden and Mary Granger was buried 11 Apr 1646 - 'Isaac Downing aged 46'.
We also have this Isaac on BCC:
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ing-Familythe est 1715 date of birth is wrong - it should, of course be 1699.
Just moved Isaac "ace" to family while we work on it
