Thanks for staying with me Peter!
John Moore-you have been haunting my dreams for years! Just when I thought I had a breakthrough-another puzzle!
I still can't link John & Joseph Moore..
I thought "Elizabeth Davids" looked like "Davis" on the 1841 census. (I thought Cook Home was Cook Lane, so what do I know!)
This places her birth at Much Cowarne.. there are several Davis there in 1841, but no Ellen...

I've had no luck finding Mary's maiden name....

Hi Sharon
when you suss it out can you add what you think to Bcc if you get a min
and that marriage info you have if it is the joseph on Bcc if you can add that in Josephs notes and the brides notes
that would be great

john poss bap

John Moore
Baptism/Christening Date: 20 Dec 1820
Baptism/Christening Place: Upper Sapey, Hereford, England
Father's Name: William Moore
Mother's Name: Elizabeth

harriet his sister in 1841 census ?

Harriet Moore
Baptism/Christening Date: 09 Oct 1822
Baptism/Christening Place: Upper Sapey, Hereford, England
Father's Name: William Moore
Mother's Name: Elizabeth

we know joseph father is william from marriage cert is him mother elizabeth ?

also from 1871 census

In 1871 the family, including husband Joseph, are living at Ocle Pitchard (lovely! sounds like a childrens t.v. programme!), Kyming & Hawbury Barn, Herfordshire.
Ellen stated as born c 1840 at Bishop Frome, Hereford. Her husband Joseph at Upper Sapey, Worcs about 1822. ?
In 1861 Joseph a servant, single, at Cowarne Court, Much Cowarne, hereford

marriage cert says age 32 married 1862 so born c 1830 ?

Thanks NL & Peter..
John & Harriet are siblings, hopefully trying to prove Joseph is too..
Still have the Davis girls to sort...

What I'd REALLY like is to find is a baptism for Joseph Moore...had found Harriet & John's baptisms when I went to
Bromyard..if Joseph IS their brother, then he wasn't baptised at Upper Sapey like John & Harriet...but then they did seem to move around herefordshire villages quite a bit (just as you would expect ag. labs. to do..)
Thanks for pointing out the D.O.B. discrepancy for Joseph (his brother John was just as confusing on census'!)
Joseph's marriage makes d.o.b. 1830, 1861 & 1871 cenus have him circa 1821 ..maybe that's why I cant find baptism...

NL, as I can't prove John & Joseph are brothers, do you want me to add Joseph/Ellen's notes to John Moore's, as I have done previously?
..have found other Moore family info recently (parish/census) would you like me to add, let you know first, or post on here, asI know certain people add to BCC.. I live in fear & dread of doing it incorrectly!
