Hi,
Although not addressing the BARNABUS HOMER thread, I have a family link to the MARK HOMER, s of Barnabus Homer and Hannah Cox. :!:

A transcript of the Parish Registers of the Park Lane Presbyterian Chapel, Cradley (held in the Worcestershire Family Record Office) shows the christening of Mark on 16 June 1793 and includes a reference to his birth on 10 May 1791. The transcript also shows the christening of a sister, Mary, on the same date and the christening of another sister, Hannah, on 2 April 1800 (this ties in with previous post). The parents of the three children are shown as Barnabas and Hannah Homer, initially of Light Green, Cradley and then of Netherend, Cradley.

I am working on the assumption this is the Mark Homer who married HANNAH FELDON in Old Swinford on 8 May 1814 (see IGI index).
IGI index records also show the christenings of two children of Hannah and Mark; of a daughter, Mary Ann, in Cradley Chapel (later St Peter"™s Church) on 5 April 1815; and of a son, Jesse, in the Park Lane Presbyterian Chapel, Cradley on 21 February 1820.

The 1841 census shows Hannah and Mark living in Cradley, Worcestershire; he is a "˜Nailer"™ and there are five (5) children at home, Ira (born abt 1826), Phebe (born abt 1829), Eli (born abt 1831), Mark (born abt 1837) and Barnabas (born in 1840).

The 1851 census shows Mark (widower) living in High Town, Cradley with his sons, Mark and Barnabas; all of them are described as "˜Chain Makers"™. His son, Ira, is shown living in Butcher"™s Lane, Cradley with his cousin, William Feldon, and his family.

Online parish records show the burial in St Peter's Cradley of Hannah on 29 December 1850 and Mark on 10 April 1853.
Hope this helps to complete the tree on BCC.

Mark and Hannah are on BCC:-

NL wrote<<I added Mark as son of Barnabus and Hannah
but he is bapt at Presbyterian in Cradley
and yet Wm Hannah and Eli bapt at St Peters Cradley>>

I checked the register Jan, am sure it is just a second baptism, they probably moved Churches and were baptised again, it was quite common.

HI NL I checked the Vicar's Notebook for any connections, nothing, only a Jesse with a wife Hannah, they had a son also Jesse, not sure if they are connected or not :?:

The 1782 Cradley Survey has a Bendy Homer Lord of the Manor Light Green Tenement and Garden
Hannah Homer Netherend (which is virtually Light Green could be the same family) Tenement Shop and Garden

Jesse Homer Two Gates, (a different part of Cradley) Tenement and Garden.
There's a Jesse who fits in 1851, Windmill Hill, which is off Two Gates:-

Jesse Homer HD M 32 Chainmaker Rowley
Sarah Wife 38 Chainmaker Cradley
Ann Da 11 at home Cradley

Ira is in Butchers Lane 1851 Co U 22 Horse Nail Maker Rowley with:-
William Seldon HD M 27 Horse Nail Maker Cradley
Ruth Wife M 22 Nail Maker Cradley
Ellen DA 2 Cradley
William Son 1 Cradley

1851 High Town Cradley
Mark Homer HD W 58 Chainmaker Cradley
Mark Son 14 Chainmaker Rowley
Barnabas Son 11 Chainmaker Cradley

Seems that the family moved about between Cradley and Cradley Heath RR.
