I have a family on my mom's side where a lot of the children suffer from deafness (probably congenital). A couple of the children are missing from every census. I think they went to special schools - although it did tend to be in later years.
There's no place like home ......

I wonder if the William Brettell Boarder in 1871 with Charles and Rhoda is wrong and should be William Cartwright Rhodas brother
