Re: Sutton/Wood families
Marriage. Please note that this is only a possibility, you will need to confirm with your Grandmother.
SUTTON, Herbert - FELTHOUSE, Emily
Leek Staffordshire 1913 Oct-Nov-Dec
Volume No: 6B
Page No: 568
I would also suggest that you visit your Grandmother with a big notebook, and ask her as many questions as you can think of. I did this with my Aunt (who is in her 90's) and the info she gave me is invaluable. Little stories from her childhood can give you clues that you would otherwise not have. Plus they're good to hear

Re: Sutton/Wood families
William Sutton born in Uttoxeter in 1917 is the right person (my grandad)
Felthouse is definately right for my great grandmother's maiden name as well Both me and mum remembered as soon as we heard the name!
Mum said that her Aunty Kath is Felthouse. Her husband,my grandad's cousin was Arthur Felthouse.Emily and Herbert ring a bell to me as well
It is difficult to visit my grandmother as both me and my mum live in Tenerife and its difficult to talk to her properly on the phone as she can't hear very well My mum will be phoning her on Saturday night so will try to find out as much as she can then Thankyou

Re: Sutton/Wood families
My mum spoke to my nan last night and here is what she found out:
Ernest Wood had 2 brothers, Albert and Joe No sisters but some half brothers so there must have been a re-marriage somewhere
Joe moved to Canada
My grandad's mum was Emily Felthouse and his dad Herbert Sutton
My nan said that her brother Samuel died at age 1 month and her sister Nelly (must be Sarah) at 6 months
She also said she had an Aunt Nelly who died in childbirth
