Georges Grandchild Elizabeth Darby born aprox 1863 to George Darby - Elizabeth Baugh.

Elizabeth Darby Married John Devonport Dec 1885 Chesterfield Darby.

Eliza Jane Devonport born abt 1889 died abt 1913 married Alexander Hughes 1909. Alexander Hughes Born 1888 @ 23 St Giles Street Netherton Hole died 1944 Taylor Rd Netherton.

My Grandfather AH 1912 remembered his grandfather John Devonport so was still alive well past the 1901 Cencus but I cannot find any trace of him on the 1901 census, my grandfather thought that John Devonport had been in the Boar war but I have no evidence.

Can this information be added to Black country connections

I new all the surnames from by grandfather who new Elizabeth Devonports maiden name and his great grand mother
Elizabeth Baugh, as he had been raised by his grand mother after the death of his mother when he was 1 year old.

Have never bother to send for the marrage certificate as it all seemed to fit so well.

Chesterfiled is within a few miles of Elisa Devonports birth place and I am certain the census is correct as all the brother and sisters match the names that my grandfather gave me.

Very interesting I have looked in the 1901 Census many times but have missed this one.

Ties in well with other information that I have. Mary appears to be John Devonport's sister,
Mary Devon Port maried Joseph Russon Sept 1885 Dudley (BDM).
