Wahooo,..just got flooded again! Really cool thunderstorm just ripped the skylight off the roof and let the rain in instead of the sunshine! But I was just chatting to my best mate in Darwin and he has had 550mm of rain the last 24 hours and is about to be hit by a cyclone. 550mm in 24hours!!!! Melbourne only avarages 650mm for the year....

Now I know my husbands lost it - he's outside in the dark, building a snowman. If that's not crazy enough he's just got back from a 10 mile run!

Might be his last chance to build a snowman with all this Global Warming happening.
Is the snow warmer than last year

Well - it's nearly the end of February and we've had a couple of warmer days and a bit of sunshine - but there is a snow warning for next week, just to coincide with half term, hopefully we can take the sledges up the woods if there is enough of it.

Last time I was up in the snow I made this little girl cry after I lost control of my toboggan and whizzed past the official end of the run and smacked into her snowman.
I wanted to thank her for stopping me before I reached the carpark but her dad looked like he wanted to throttle me so I meekly left with her sobbing in the background.

Actually, for us, GW will probably mean more snow, just like it will mean more rain.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.

Excellent! My daughter would have loved to have been involved but she just changed riding clubs after a not so happy goodbye to the previous one. It was amazing how many horses were bring shifted from one place to another to avoide the floods, fires and cyclones. Did you see they are going to change the laws so people can bring thier pets to the emergency shelters. (Not horses though.....). Too many people refused to evacuate if they could not bring thier pets.
