Re: Daffodils
Mine are all under snow!
Bourght some tulips today to cheer me up! (Would have prefered daffs with it being so close to March 1st, but never mind, they're still nice and cheery).

Oh poor Sue, snow
It was lovely here today, I actually did some gardening, much more healthy than being on here
Don't suppose the nice weather will last though.

Re: Daffodils
My daughter went to Lidl at the weekend and bought seven fruit trees for a fiver each. The expert - my mom - has looked them over and given them all her seal of approval - Bargain !!
They planted them all today - in the lovely sunshine. The kids have named them all - bit like the Cluedo game.
So - off to Lidl you go if you want any bargain fruit trees. I did say to Lisa - do you have any idea how big they'll grow and she said that's OK - we'll have moved by then

Been a lovely sunny day here too, cant wait to get in the garden!
Them trees from lidle are a good price, how soon will they fruit?

I wish Spring would show itself here.... it is -20 with wind chill today... even the cat won't go outside!.. the snow on the ground has actually frozen hard.. the only option could be to stay indoors and drink!... fancy a 'hot toddy' anyone?

Can take a couple of years for fruit trees to settle in before they fruit, but sometimes with a bit of tlc you can be lucky

Re: Daffodils
When we get around to sorting our garden, I would like a Cox's Orange Pippen, and some other fruit trees, maybe a damson tree. But I don't want so much that we can't eat it all!
I would like to train the trees too, so I can reach all the fruit, but we'll see!
For now, I'd be happy to see some of those bulbs showing their heads
