No snow but very cold and lots of rain. Think of me walking along the canal today in me wellies, looking for a wheel from a wheelie shoe, lost last Saturday on our canal walk in glorious sunshine.

It snowed monday, tuesday, wednesday; I think we've had about 25cm in all. It's been very fine powdery snow, and there have been a few drifts too. Our end of the road is again solid ice. It's been down to about -12 C last night and just under freezing now.

But today the sun is shining, the sky is blue and the birds are twittering away - so at least they think spring is on the way! :-)

My parents live in NE Wales, only rain expected there. Mum says it's that horrible damp weather that seems to get into your bones!

No we didn't, probably go again tomorrow if it's a bit dryer. Love that word "sloshy" :-)

Not mine Jo - though I would have loved a "go". My grandson and his mate had them on in the park, but I was scared to death to let them keep them on for a walk along the canal, so we took the wheels out and they put them into their pockets. Wasn't until we got home and they emptied their pockets we noticed one was missing. If it's nice today, I'll have another look. Another story - don't little boys keep some disgusting stuff in their pockets :o

I'm lucky, my husband defrosts the car every morning, and starts the engine about ten mins before we leave, so although it's cold, it could be worse. I'm looking forward to our garage being built!

Expat, I recon that I shouldn't be moaning, you probably get much colder weather in Canada, not to mention more snow!! (Although it does get irritating when the car in front is driving at about 50kph on totally clear roads because they're too stingy to buy winter tyres!!!)

We had really cold weather during the winter - 14, it doesnt normally get as cold, I dread the thought of temperatures like you have in Canada as the norm!
Snowed here this afternoon and evening but nothing laid, thankgoodness!

Hope you had luck finding the wheels Auntie Em if not check out the freecycle sites near you, you may get some going free!
Jo :)
