Just joined the site and thought I'd post details of family names I'm researching. I've been interested in family history for several years, and have recently become more and more obsessed with it!!
My mother's family are all from the Black Country, the main names are Pearson, Darby, Malpass and Smith.
My dad's family are more widespread - Surman and Sollis from Teswkesbury and surrounding areas: Beacham and Shaw from Durham and Westmorland areas.
All of the research I've done so far has been computer based, but I'm hoping to get out and about a bit more in the future! :-)
