Samuel Coley b.abt 1775

Post by gardener »

Just wanted to bring this to Lin's attention...

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ley-Family

has him married to Phoebe Salt but there is also Phoebe Newton, see http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.ph ... cseen.html

The Salt marriage is too late for some of the kids. Could have been a second marriage thoughh. Any info to sort it out Lin?

Hi, I'm not sure, will have to have a look at it, Phoebe Coley is alive in 1851:-

She is aged 76 living with son Christopher Coley.

I only have Christopher born 1812, Marriage 1808 St Martins Bull Ring B'ham.

Will have a better look this evening.

Unfortunately we cannot check the 2 Marriages as they are both Birmingham.

No burial for Phoebe at Halesowen 1855, she could have been buried at Cradley. She is not in the Vicar's Notebook of 1857, son Christopher is, Phoebe is on the 1851 Census with him, so she died between 1851 and 1857.

Looks like Samuel was Married twice, I would think.

Will have a look at some of the other children's baps and see what info they hold.

I checked all the children's baptism's, they all say ------- son or da of Samuel and Phoebe Coley nothing else.

Nothing else we can check except the Marriages in B'ham :?:

I would definitely think Samuel Married twice.

There's a burial at St Peter's Cradley 9.2.1808 for Phoebe Coley, no age, but it must be Phoebe nee Newton.
