Can anyone who has access to any Parish Registers for Warwickshire help me with the witness names, or parents names for the marriage of the above 2 people. Marriage occured 8th June 1827 in Edgbaston.
Need help

Good to see you back Sparky
Going to move a copy of this to the look request section too(when we finalise the church info)
Which Church is it Sparky?
Now if noone is going to Warks then it might be worth sending them an email- and it may be birmingham archives that covers this in fact I think it would be.
I can give you the details for Birmingham archives
You wont get the Parents on the marriage entry cos of the date ...too early...but you may get witnesses
So if we can pinpoint the church we can see if at Birmingham

Re: Thomas Adams and Mary Ann Allchurch
Mary Ann Allchurch married Thomas Adams jun 8 1829 Edgbaston, Warwickshire
This is on the IGI as an extraction of the bishop's transcriptions for the parish church of Edgbaston so it may not have the witnesses names. You would need to get hold of the actual parish records for that period.
Do you have them on a census - were they both from Warwickshire?

Re: Thomas Adams and Mary Ann Allchurch
Hi Farside, Marie and NL
Thanks for your input. Looks like I will have to order the Parish Registers at the Latter Day Saints here and have a look. I found them on the 1841,1851,1861 Census but as yet no further than that. I have also found several references to him on different Directories. He lived in King Street Wolverhampton and had his shop in Queen Street employing 11 workers.
He was from Erdington north of Birmingham and she was from Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. They had several children, Sarah b 1829, George b1831 both these baptized at Carrs Lane Independent in Birmingham and then Ann b1834, Catherine b1836, Elizabeth b1841 and Mary b about 1839.
Catherine and Elizabeth were baptised at Queen Street Independent in Wolverhampton. It appears that Thomas Adams was one of the Trustees of the Union between the old Temple Street Church and the Queen Street Independent.

Re: Thomas Adams and Mary Ann Allchurch
On the LDS site - look at the library catalog for place name Edgbaston - there are only the bishop's transcripts, they don't have film of the registers for the date you need. You are going to have to find them elsewhere.

NL, I take it that this would be the info needed? ( I have never looked up Parish Records at the Archives)
Film or fiche number
0502273
Bishop's transcripts for Edgbaston, 1678-1838 Church of England. Parish Church of Edgbaston (Warwickshire)
If so, I don't mind popping along, as I'm local

Re: Thomas Adams and Mary Ann Allchurch
If you go to the archives and ask to see the actual Parish register for Edgbaston
and the date that was posted ie 8th June 1827 in Edgbaston
and see what the entry says
St Bartholomew, Edgbaston
M 1636-1969
I think that is the correct church but they will help you
