I remember having a toy mop, that for some reason I stuck in the gas fire, funily enough I wasn't allowed to keep it! (Burnt a hole in the new carpet with an iron the week after!)

Scalextric slot cars! I had dozens of them and literally miles of track.

We used to make 6 lane tracks and have championships amongst the local kids.

We even had endurance races involving pitstops where you had to eat a donut and drink a can of fizzy drink before continuing :P

I can feel the urge coming on....I think I will have to dust them off and set them up in the garage.

P.S. The Space Hopper brings back bad memories of how I popped my newphew's at Christmas dinner many years ago....

Who new that 130KG was too heavy for it

Hey Annie - I remember those - managed to get myself and a white tablecloth covered in ink. Heck of a job to get it off your hands.

I never had a dolls pram either - was never into dolls though. Remember having a lovely three wheel bike - great big wheels and a carrier box on the back that opened like a bread bin. My sister had a pedal car - it was lovely. We could even play with them in the street those days - not many cars around.

My parents had five girls, dad always wanted a boy - so used to buy us "boy" type things that he could play with them as well. I remember we used to love jigsaws - the harder the better. Dad made a board that we used to keep under the table when we had to eat.

I remember once having a toy gun and "shooting" my uncle, but he wouldn't die - so I hit him on the head with it, it looked like a scene from Casualty - I was in real trouble that day.

I remember one Christmas going shopping with my parents in Chester. We went past a toy shop with a bright red gocart in the window, that really took my fancy. On the way back it was gone - I was heartbroken.
All was not lost though as it it turned up on Christmas Day!
