Hello

Post by SarahMc84 »

Hi

I find myself on maternity leave with my first baby and have decided this is the perfect opportunity to spend lots of time researching my family.

I've done bits and pieces in the past and have got quite far back with my family name but now would like to try to pad out my research by finding other records that might relate to relatives as well as spending time looking at where and how my family would have lived.

My main surname interests are GAMWELL, TREADWELL, BOWLES, CALLOW, BOFFIN and the areas are mainly Birmingham, Warwickshire and Staffordshire and also Hull and surrounding areas. I would like to be able to pop to local record offices to have a proper look but I'm in Dorset so it's not practical, although I hope to plan some trips eventually.

If anyone has any Dorset connections and wants me to pop down to records offices and have a look I'd be happy to. I know the Dorset parish records are in pretty good nick!

I hope I don't ask too many dopey questions!

Thanks
Sarah
