ARC TBC - Thomas Grove born abt 1762 Halesowen

Post by dumblonde »

Does anyone have transcripts of Halesowen Parish records please? I am trying to find out anything about
Thomas Grove born abt 1762 in Halesowen, married 4/7/1786 at St Giles Rowley Regis, Hannah Smith - on BCC
My father and auntie both insist that we are related to the Grove family who started Groves button factory, through Thomas's great grandson James born abt 1864, sibling of Mary Ann, Maria, Thomas and John - on BCC. I can't find a connection except that Thomas (1762) was born in Halesowen.
James was a gardener according to 1881, 1891 & 1901 census and later in life he lived in Barrs road, he is buried in Halesowen churchyard.

That death on the PR reads -:

Notice Oct ye 31st

Q - would he be an infant at 13 years old?
