special rice pudding (cold with loads of whiped cream, vanilla, almonds and warm cherry sauce


A lot of people here have something like that (it being an ex-Danish colony and all) and it has a whole almond in it. If you get the almond you are supposed to keep it hidden til everyone finishes and then you win the almond prize. Only one of my kids ever liked rice pudding in any shape or form so we have French chocolate cake instead :-)

We have the almond too - I've never managed to find it!
One year we were hosting a christmas do for our friends, and decided to liven things up a bit (sometimes that group of friends could do with a kick up the ****), so we put about fifteen almonds in - it was so funny to see peoples faces when they got the second one! The person with the most won the prize.
