right after reading annie post ive come up with an extra present for mother ?

going to invest in a dictaphone so she can record all the stories of her youth that way i will have a perment record of life in the 40s when she was a kid

who think its a good idea its something we wont able to get when there gone my mam 73 ?


in fact here partners 85 might get him one as well

Great idea, Pete!

My Mum likes writing. I'm going to give her a big book of blank pages. She can stick photos & mementoes in it and write little stories about her life.

Hmmm... I'd better get her something else as well. That present sounds like it's more for me than for her.
Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

I was deleted last week and severely reprimanded because i mentioned goats!!! :shock: :o
If this stays on and that other disgusting one with elves then i know there's a certain "clique" operating on this forum!!!

Brings back memories of when I was an audio typist.

This is a brilliant idea, but just be wary of when you're using the dictaphone, because I tried this and when the person knew that I was recording them they wouldn't talk. You need to hide it discreetly.

I also think it's a great idea for a gift Peterd, wish I had bought one when my mam, dad and Aunts & Uncles were around , I have made notes of my memories of times past and family gatherings in my family history.
