but Job is down as nephew on census to Eliza

and Eliza looks like she is the dau of Mary Powell accord to that bapt in Old swinford
in 1836
ahead of marriage in 1841 to Jeremaiah

so that would make Eliza step sister to Job

rite Mommy Edwards has sent me this and I think it throws up
a better connection for Eliza .....so the Eliza with mother Mary I can still add
but am not connecting to Gideon steventon yet.

Mommy Edwards is getting the certif for Eliza Powell and Gideon...hopefully
it will be in a better state than the water damaged one at RR archives

As a widow, William must have been married previously. It is possible his wife died so there shold be a marriage and then a death???

I have sent for the certificate on this one. Could the William/Elizabeth be the Siviters that Eliza and Gideon were boarding with on the census?

I have not sent for this cert as I have a transcript of marriage.
My Mom thinks that the witness Phoebe is William's sister.
We also think that William Siviter is James Siviter's brother. James married a Selina Walker you have these on BCC i think.

My Mom has found this family living in RR in 1841:

If you look at the ages of the children, they tie in with the ages of......
William Powell who married Sarah Wakeman,
John Powell who married Mary Grove,
Eliza Powell who married Gideon
and
ELizabeth who married William Siviter.

Could it be that the Older William Rock is James (Powell's) brother and my James Powell was not a Powell but a Rock????

Some other stuff that may tie in?

there is a marriage at St thomas' for a William Powell and a Selina Walker in 1875.
I have sent for the certificate.
In 1891 William Powell, 40, and Selina Walker , 39, living with Mary Walker 14 and Harry Willetts 13.
the children are described as step daughter and step son.

1881 census - found Job Powell living with Gideon Steventon but no Eliza.
1891 census - found Job Powell living with Gideon in Birmingham Street Halesowen.
Gideon is a widower. Job is a boarder aged 45. There is a death registered for Eliza Steventon in 1874.
1901 - Gideon is aged 76 living with son Frank and grandson Frank
