hi,does anyone know how i could trace my grandfather when my fathers birth certificate says father unknown as far as i know his mother never spoke of him.

the only way i can think of is a dna test and try to get it crossed referenced with as many families that are doing a family tree with dna ? in the area you father parents were from, this might give you a surname, long shot ?
