*Arc tbc* -PR St Giles Rowley Regis (Samuel Nock & Siblings)

Post by nocky1972 »

Hi there,
looking for the occupation of the father of the following people (All have parents James Nock & Ann / Anne)
All born in R.Regis

John Nock 1806
Eliza Nock 1807
Benjamin Nock 1810
Samuel Nock 1807
William Nock 1804 - 1806

I'm hoping their father is listed as 'Nailor or Nail Weigher'.

many thanks

Hi nocky
You would need to supply the church and date
and to be honest you will not get the abode or occupation pre 1813...sorry :(

Hi ya NL,
I see ..... ! ok no probs... Just thought that they be linked to my James and Ann Nock which would make James older than our birth estimation of 1790... Have found IGI refs for James Nock 1777 St Thomas, Dudley (father Samuel Nock, mother True Harrison). This one covers Worcestershire but then there are IGI refs for James Nock b:1786 Rowley Regis (parents Joseph & Ann) & James Nock b:1779 R.Regis (Parents William & Leah). James Nock b:1784 R.Regis (parents Thomas & Mary).

I suppose without digging really deep it almost impossible to find out where James was from... Although the death cert will give me his age at death.. Would it give me any other info apart from cause of death ?

regards

Should give you an informant
and an abode
and I think occupation
but that age will be good cos it might help us track down a bapt for him.... :?

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

I shouldn't worry too much about occupations Nocky they were all Nailers and or Chainmakers, with a few exceptions of course :?: Best Wishes Linell.

I believe that the church for these guys is St Giles Rowley Regis. Would anyone have any parish records on CD at all ? If not would a baptism lookup be possible to check father and mothers name ?
:?
