Hi, I have been tracing my family tree for 3 years, i have found it to be really interesting, exciting and amazing, I just wish others had the same enthusiasm as me, I tend to be seen as boring i'm afraid!
I started on this journey due to my grandad, who had a similar life to the late Norman Wisdom, he was illigitimate, born in London and a hidden shame of his mother, needless to say, he never knew who his father was and I thought perhaps i could shed some light on his past. I discovered, he was born in a workouse and worked from that. I have quite an extensive tree and discovered some strong links to the Black Country, hope to discover some usefull info and perhaps more links to distant cousins.
Regards

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Hi and welcome!
I know what you mean about people finding genealogy boring. Just the mention of the word and their eyes glaze over - don't know what they're missing!!
