Lets see if we can solve this one for the lady.
Sarah Jane Jones married John Jones ont he 24th May 1885 in the Parish Church in Dudley.
The wedding certificate and record on FamilySearch show her father's name as Joseph.
Sarah and John had the following children.

Her tombstone, which I found on Ancestry, shows she died on the 24th June 1943 at 82 years of age, meaning she was born the first half of 1861.
This is her family in the 1911 census.

Re: Pensnett Family Poser - Black Country Bugle
Hi all,
Thank you for the prompt replies, I put the letter in the Black Country Bugle, looking for the Jones family who all seem to live in Church Street pensnett. I have SJJ wedding certificate, I was hoping to confirm that frances was her mother, I know Joseph was her father but have never heard of the name Merchant attached to him, my mother seems to think Joseph's father was Thomas but on BCC the name was William.
I have the census's for the family living in Church Street Pensnett.
