Info wanted on Albert Edward and George Burge, 1800s.

Hi all,
I'm trying to track down any ancestors of the Portsmouth branch of the Burge family.
I'm fairly new to tracing relatives and so far have gone back via my Father, Albert Edward Burge (b.1932) via my Grandfather, also Albert Edward Burge (b. 1905) and my Great Grandfather, also Albert Edward Burge (b. approx. 1882?) to my G.G. Grandfather, George Burge.
I do know that my G.Grandfather married Adelaide (Ada) Edenden (b. c1885 Sturminster Newton, Dorset) in Portsea (Portsmouth) 1905, but this is where I'm stuck. Albert is aged 23 and employed as a Carter and George is shown as a pensioner.
I assume (maybe wrongly) that pensioner would mean he has served with the Royal Navy or Marines, and would not necessarily indicate old age, merely a period of service.
Can anyone help locate where my Great Grandfather, Albert Edward Burge came from, as the marraige certificate does'nt show where either my G. Grandfather or my GG. Grandfather were born.

If anybody has any suggestions how I can find where they were born or information, I would be grateful.

UPDATE-
After having been helped by Alec, I've been able to identify George and also identify his parents, Francis and Sarah (nee Hall) and his siblings. I've also been able to identify Georges wife as Emily Liney of Winchester (known as Emma).
