Killed in action 5th November 1917. Aged 19.
Born: Blackheath. Enlisted: Birmingham.
Son of John and Sarah Ann Blakeway, of 82 Hackett Street, Blackheath.
Buried: The Huts Cemetery, Ypres, Flanders. XIV.B.17.

Could this be John with his parents ...here

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

I think his name has been transcribed wrong - because the ages of the children go in order usually - I'm not at home at the moment, but I'll have a look at the picture in about an hour and check

There are similarities with the families - there are two children aged 1 - usually they would be recorded as twins - I think there has been a No 1 missing off the age for John and Rebecca. Wonder where they would have been christened? I'll have a look at St Giles
