*Archive* Blocks with Frederick Paull c.1876-1963
Can anyone help eithertrack down any details about this chap ( my maternal grandfather ) ...he's very elusive ! Or provide some advice on how to proceed.
Frederick ( Fred )'s Birth certificate is Holborn...but the family seemed to live nr Redruth in Cornwall for several years. Father: Henry c 1848 Mother: Elizabeth Ann ( nee Baylis(s) ) c 1852. Sisters Lily c1878 Ethel Maud 1877..and possibly a brother George 1869 ( may have died as a child ??? ) One or more of the sisters may have emigrated to Australia..Ethel was in service in the early 1900s in Plymouth. Fred married Evangeline ( Farnham ) in London in around 1930. The both worked in a posh hotel. It wasnt his first marriage.
I'm particularly interested to find out about the first marriage as I believe I may have half Uncles.
Im quite a beginner and have no idea how to find out more about Fred between the times he appears on censuses as a child and then disappears...(doesnt seem to be in 1911 census !!!) ...and him marrying my Grandmother ... No military service as far as I can tell... and theres no relatives to shed any light on him ( He left home when my mother was a child and so she knows little about him ..only hearsay ) . Evidence suggests that he may have been a 'bit of a lad' ... Im sure that some details on his wedding certificate have been falsified. ( Is that possible ?! ) Help or advice anyone ?

So this would be him in the 1911 census? Place of birth is a bit odd if it is.

These would seem the wrong ages for the people you are looking for, but this is the only death recorded for Evangeline Paull, so if this is her - she would have been a lot younger than Frederick.

A Carman would have been a delivery job, probably some sort of Hand Cart. Linell.

Re: Blocks with Frederick Paull c.1876-1963 How can I progre
That death for George Frederick is way out. That says 1900 born and this one was 1877?
This is possibly the christening of the one born Holborn?
Clerkenwell St Philip, Islington
July 27th born June 5th 1877, George Frederick, George and Elizabeth Martha Paull, 39, Easton Street, Painter
Looks like a few families living in the same household
1881. 39 Easton Street, Amwell, Clerkenwell
George Paull, head, 52, Painter, St Dunstons City
Elizabeth, wife, 37, St Pancras
Anne, daur, 7, Clerkenwell
George, son, 3, Clerkenwell
Louisa, daur, 1, Clerkenwell

Re: Blocks with Frederick Paull c.1876-1963 How can I progre
Thank you people... You are amazing !
Okay Im much further on ...with using your help and with a bit more research myslef...Update is as follows:
'Fred' is George Frederick Paull b 1879 Kennington ( Lambeth ) to Henry Paull ( 1852 ) and Ellen Selina ( nee Simmons) 1854
Brothers Albert William and Henry Joseph ( dates and some details of their families and movements now known )
Married Evangeleine ( nee Farnham ) in 1929 ... he WAS much older than her though didnt admit to her how much !! They had a child Sylvia May ( my mother )in 1934.
@fred' was married before to Louisa Emily ( nee Curtis ) b 1880ish Bimstead IOW they were married in June 1899 in Portsmouth. They can be found again in the 1911 census in Bedford were Fred was a Carman . No children.
Outstanding questions..what happened to Louisa Emma... Fred is listed as a widower when he married later... maybe..maybe not..my Gran wouldnt have married a divorcee ! Did Louisa die ...were they divorced .. or.... Were there ever any children ? Also did he have any more brothers or sisters..anything more known about them ?
Any more help really appreciated,,,youve been fanstastic so far .
